StorageAlly LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates StorageAlly, an AI-powered operations platform for independent self-storage operators. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

By using StorageAlly, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, password (hashed — never stored in plain text), and the name and location of your storage facility.

Facility data you provide: Unit mix, pricing, occupancy rates, financial figures, maintenance records, and any documents you upload. This data belongs to you.

Usage data: How you interact with the dashboard — which features you use, AI assistant queries, content generation requests. Used to improve the product.

Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We retain your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Communications: If you contact us by email, we keep a record of that correspondence.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide, operate, and improve the Service
• To send transactional emails — account confirmations, weekly digest briefs, trial expiration notices, billing receipts
• To generate anonymized, aggregated industry benchmarks across our customer base (your facility is never identified)
• To respond to support requests
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. Data Sharing

We share your data only with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Data is stored in the US (us-east-1).
• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's own privacy policy.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Anthropic — AI analysis. Queries sent to Anthropic's API are subject to their data processing terms. We do not send identifying facility information in AI prompts beyond what is necessary to generate your analysis.
• Vercel — application hosting.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 30 days, during which you may request a full export. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted from our systems.

Aggregated, anonymized benchmark data may be retained indefinitely as it contains no personally identifiable information.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, row-level security in our database, and access controls limiting which team members can see customer data.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@storageally.ai.

6. Cookies

StorageAlly uses session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. We do not participate in cross-site tracking.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Export your facility data in a machine-readable format
• Opt out of non-transactional emails at any time via the unsubscribe link

8. Children's Privacy

StorageAlly is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
